Description
Summary:Organic–inorganic hybrid metal halides with dielectric properties have attracted widespread attention due to their applications in the field of optoelectronics. Here, we successfully synthesized a novel dielectric material (C8H18BrN)2SnBr6 (1), which undergoes two continuous phase transitions. It is worth noting that compound 1 also exhibits excellent semiconducting and photoluminescence properties. This Sn(iv)-based hybrid metal halide with excellent switchable dielectric, semiconducting and photoluminescence properties will pave the way for the development of Sn(iv)-based metal halides with practical applications.
