Summary: | For our inaugural edition of Art Monthly Australasia (AMA) in March 2016, independent curator Jasmin Stephens presented 'Asian Australian engagement: A digest', bringing together a 'bureau' of artistic voices to explore intercultural pathways through the visual arts on the occasion of the 20th Biennale of Sydney. In the lead-up to the November 2021 launch of Hong Kong's M+, Asia's first global museum of contemporary visual culture, we were invited to submit written questions to Museum Director Suhanya Raffel - previously Deputy Director of the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney - via M+'s Londonbased PR firm. Publication Manager Yarran Gatsby and Volunteer Chin-Jie Melodie Liu, and Board member Julie Fragar, who brings her unique insights as a practising artist and Head of Painting and Program Director of Visual Arts at Griffith University, Brisbane. |
