Description
Summary:We present the results of studying the characteristics of measuring transducers of magnetic-induction thickness gages using harmonic excitation currents for the case of monitoring electrically conductive coatings. Based on these transducers, we propose and describe in detail a conversion algorithm that assumes pulsed excitation of magnetic field and the use of the induced EMF area as a primary informative parameter when suppressing the influence of power-supply and pulse noises, used in commercial thickness gages of metal nonferromagnetic coatings on ferromagnetic bases.
