Summary: | The production of elementary chip by rotary milling may be interpreted in terms of a complex system. It corresponds to a specific parameter relationship and permits the attainment of the target function by means of various combinations of variables. With a large number of variables, it is difficult to control the process and the solutions obtained are not unique. Algorithms are developed for isolating the permissible solutions, and optimization procedures are developed. The results are illustrated by means of a numerical example. |
