Description
Summary:The article provides results of producing ash silica during heat treatment and schemes for modification transformation at different temperatures. Mullite 3Al 2 O 3 ·2SiO 2 is synthesized for the first time at a relatively low firing temperature on the basis of ash silica and aluminum oxide in the alumina – silica system. With respect to physicochemical properties the synthesized mullite is no worse than that prepared from natural refractory clay and kaolin.
