description Primary health care (PHC) is an indispensable tool for achieving universal health coverage (UHC) globally and at all levels of human society. Before any country could achieve this health coverage successfully, there must strictly be a practical implementation of national health policies. Furthermore, the implemented health policies need to be evaluated and analysed regularly to confirm whether the policy has achieved or is achieving the already set goals. However, the policy can be adopted internationally or formulated at the local level. Before the onset of the outbreak of Coronavirus, there had been several communicable diseases like Hepatitis A, Measles, Shigellosis, Tuberculosis, Ebola virus, among others, which had been globally and nationally prevented by globally acceptable formulated health policies. The pandemic has distressed national health policies of all countries with the adverse impacts realised indiscriminately across the globe. A constructivist methodological approach was adopted by the study and findings unfold that the most probable mode of transmission of the virus is currently at the interstate level through local transportations and public contacts. Since the novel virus is no longer transmitted internationally only, this study recommends that all countries of the world should evaluate their health policies frequently and look keenly into their primary health care policies to prevent the strength of transmission of the deadly pandemic.
