Description
Summary:Using a new technology, a polypropylene multifilament yarn characterized by a low friction coefficient and surface resistance is obtained. The basis of the technology is the formation of an ultrathin coating based on polytetrafluoroethylene doped with stabilized magnetite particles on the surface of each filament. The effect of the composition, designed for the formation of a coating on the mechanical properties of polypropylene yarns, is investigated. The resistance of the coating against intense abrading action and the adhesion strength of the contact between the polytetrafluoroethylene-based coating doped with magnetite and the polypropylene substrate are estimated.
