Energy-Technological Relationships in Electric Arc Furnaces
Energy relationships in electric arc furnaces (EAFs) and the influence of the technological processes in furnace baths on them are considered. The main parameter that determines the efficiency of using electric energy is shown to be the ratio P A. i / G i η el. i . The problems of optimization of th...

. The problems of optimization of the electrical regimes of the furnaces in various heat periods are considered. The concept of an energy coefficient is used to justify the increase in the heat efficiency during the melting period due to an increase in the arc voltage and the furnace current during the period of liquid metal heating. The influence of the relations between the powers of oxyfuel burners (OFBs) and a transformer on the performance of the furnace is analyzed. The influence of various methods of heating a charge on the heat indicators is estimated quantitatively. |
