Summary: | In this paper, the analysis of the relation between the multiplication factor of neutrons of the multiplying system measured in critical experiments and the system reactivity is performed on the basis of the neutron transport equation. A simple relation is obtained for the calculated and the experimental determination of the efficiency of source neutrons. Numerical calculations aimed at verifying the obtained relations are performed for spherically symmetric systems that contain highly enriched uranium, plutonium, iron, beryllium, and polyethylene. |
