Summary: | In view of the problems existing in bath mixing, a water model has been established to study the mixing time of CAS process on the basis of similarity principle. In this paper, the influences of the bottom blowing position, bottom blowing rate, the immersion depth, the position and the size of the impregnation cover on bath mixing time have been investigated in detail. To ensure the amount of slag in the impregnation cover as little as possible, it would be better that the slag area is equal to the diameter of impregnation cover. The optimum bottom blowing position is located at 0.5r, the bottom blowing rate is between 0.18 m3/h and 0.22 m3/h, and the immersion depth of impregnation cover is about 60 mm. |
