Description
Summary:There are few case reports in the literature about the cardiac involvement in this tumor-like disease that primarily involves the liver. Although the liver is the most commonly affected organ, other organs may also be affected, including the heart. A 62-year-old male patient, who had been operated three years ago due to hepatic alveolar cyst hydatid, was admitted to the General Surgery clinic with complaints of dyspnea and abdominal pain, and as recurrence was observed in the computed tomography of the patient who had cardiac involvement. In cases with liver AE, other organs must also be evaluated for involvement.
