Description
Summary:— Luminescent composite materials based on europium(III) and europium(II) phosphates, tungstates, and titanates on a titanium substrate have been fabricated by combining two methods—extraction pyrolytic and plasma electrolytic oxidation. Data on the morphology and composition of a multicomponent composite are presented. It has been demonstrated that the phase composition and luminescence characteristics of the combined coating depend on the number of cycles of applying the extract and on the annealing temperature. Depending on the precursor pyrolysis temperature, europium(III) or europium(II) compounds form in the coating composition. Luminescent properties of the complex oxide composites have been determined from luminescence excitation and luminescence spectra at 300 K. The resulting composites exhibit luminescence both in the wide region (λ = 450–720 nm) and only in the red region (λ max ~ 620 nm) of the spectrum.
