Summary:In this work, the approximate controllability of age-structured retarded population model has been presented. The model is assisted with nonlocal delay condition. The nonlocal delay condition generally exhibits the slow maturation process and the delayed birth process. The work is focused to look upon the delayed birth process. The model is transformed into an abstract Cauchy problem by defining suitable spaces of functions. Then the approximate controllability is established by using the semigroup of operators.
