Summary: | The results of detailed geomagnetic investigations of Peter the Great Bay significantly change the customary ideas about structural heterogeneities of geological environment. A new understanding of a morphology, stratification depth and material composition of anomaly-forming bodies have been obtained based on the classification of magnetic anomalies and petromagnetic characteristics of rocks. The issues of structural and tectonic zoning of the central part of the bay have been justifably resolved. For the first time in history the right wing scarp of the Muravyevsky horst-anticlinorium has been located, the amplitude of the displacement and the width of the horst have been determined. |
