Summary:The objective of the research is to offer an overview of the augmented reality educational mobile applications developed in the universities of Ecuador, as well as the level of education, the area and educational subarea to which the applications were directed. [...]the search criteria were defined, then the search was carried out by selecting the thesis projects that met these criteria, then the fields established for the corresponding analysis were organized in a table. With which it was concluded that, of the total number of educational augmented reality mobile applications developed, the highest percentage corresponds to the Central University of Ecuador with 18%. [...]it was obtained that 40% of these applications are aimed at higher education level and 66% of these correspond to the area of natural sciences.
