Description
Summary:The selectivity and efficiency of laser photoionization of the 177m Lu nuclear isomer by a three-stage photoionization scheme of lutetium 5d6s 2 2 D 3/2 −5d6s6p 4 F 0 5/2 −5d6s7s 4 D 3/2 −(53375 cm –1 ) 0 1/2 were studied for the first time using pulsed tunable narrow-band dye systems pumped by copper vapor lasers. The study was carried out in relation to the problem of developing a hospital-based autonomous generator of the 177 Lu radionuclide.
