Description
Summary:In order to study the possibility of enriching jet fuels with diamond-like hydrocarbons to improve their physicochemical and operational properties the catalysis of narrow 10-degree fractions of marine oil in the range of 190-250°С with aluminum bromide was realized. The catalysis products were taken at various times and analyzed by chromatomass spectrometry. It was shown that the non-adamantane hydrocarbons and the “naphthene background” disappeared completely on the mass-chromatograms with m/z 135, 149, 163, and 177. The formation of new thermodynamically unstable adamantane isomers was observed at the initial stages of catalysis with the formation of high-molecular adamantanes from the low-molecular compounds at the later stages. It was found that hydrocarbons of the С 12 –С 14 adamantane series are formed from the “naphthene background”. It is suggested the reason for the formation of high-molecular adamantanes from the low-molecular compounds is transalkylation.
