Description
Summary:This work is devoted to the assessment of the corrosion resistance of the body of the melt trapping setup under operating conditions at nuclear power plants. A definition of corrosion losses based on a complex of accelerated tests of the metal and the parameters characterizing the corrosivity of the atmosphere is examined. It is shown that during the entire service life of the melt trapping setup (up to 80 yr) the corrosion depth does not exceed 2.6% of its thickness and does not significantly affect the integrity. But the housing should be protected from corrosion.
