Summary: | In this case report, a 2.5-year-old boy with complaintsed of recurrent attacks of fever, sore throat, oral ulcers and swelling on the neck is presented. His history revealed that the attacks had recurred every 28 days and resolved within 5 to 6 days. His acute phase reactants were elevated during the attacks, and returned to normal at intervals. Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome was suggested. The attacks of the patient dramatically resolved after a single dose of prednisone and completely disappeared during the follow-up. |
