Description
Summary:The effect of the nozzle radial position on mass transfer due to bottom gas injection in ladles has been poorly investigated in the past. The results from the present work indicate a strong influence and a new equation has been proposed. There is a conflict to simultaneously achieve high mixing conditions in liquid steel and a high removal rate of impurities with the same nozzle radial position and gas flow rate.
