Analysis of Relay Based D2D System with Fluctuating Beckmann Fading

In this paper, performance of a relay-based device-to-device (D2D) communication system over a Fluctuating Beckmann (FB) fading channel is analysed. FB fading model is a novel generalized fading model that unifies various fading conditions. Various co-channel interferers are assumed in the system. T...

description In this paper, performance of a relay-based device-to-device (D2D) communication system over a Fluctuating Beckmann (FB) fading channel is analysed. FB fading model is a novel generalized fading model that unifies various fading conditions. Various co-channel interferers are assumed in the system. The receiver is also assumed to harvest power based on the power splitting scheme. Our aim is to present outage and success probabilities expressions using the characteristic function approach. The expressions are functions of path-loss exponents, distance between the devices, various channel conditions for the D2D communication and interference, power splitting ratio and interference powers. Outage and success performances of the D2D communication system under various channel and interference conditions are numerically analysed and discussed.
