Summary: | It is important for managers to be familiar with selection techniques and tools because all managers are likely to be involved with employee selection at some point in their careers. However, many mangers have little experience with or knowledge of employee selection, and they are not likely to understand how it fits within the organization. The exercise presented addresses the issue of employee selection and gives non-human resource students practical experience with employee selection. The students research a real organization, recommend a selection plan, and critique an applicant from a different university. |
