Summary: | The water-salt system of neodymium and samarium trichloroacetates, Nd(CCl3COO)3-Sm(CCl3COO)3-H2O, has been investigated by the isothermal solubility method at 298 K. The composition of the solid phases is found by the Schreinemakers residues method. The refractive indices, specific volumes, and viscosities of the liquid phases and the refractive indices of the solid residues have been determined. Continuous solid solutions are found to form in the system. Some thermodynamic characteristics have been calculated for the solid solutions. |
