Description
Summary:—The two-dimensional problem of diffraction of a plane wave in the light range is considered. ( is wavelength) on a triangular cluster consisting of three identical silver nanocylinders located at the corners of an equilateral triangle. The frequency characteristics of the scattering cross section and the spatial distribution of the plasmon field near the cylinders are calculated by rigorous numerical methods. The influence of the angle of incidence of a TM-type plane wave, the radius of a cylinder, the distance between the cylinders, and the loss of silver on the spectra of the scattering cross section and the structure of plasmons has been studied. The effects of “degeneracy” of resonances in a cluster, the formation of local and coupled plasmon resonances, and also the transition of a plasmon resonance to a resonance of the inner region of the cluster are found.
