Description
Summary:Bulursk anthracite from the Omsukchan Basin is comprehensively analyzed. A new method of pneumatic separation of anthracite is proposed, yielding a concentrate of ash content 6–8%. Samples of the concentrate are analyzed. By up-to-date methods, the composition, petrographic characteristics, calorific value, pore structure, and thermomechanical and physicochemical properties of anthracite in various size classes (75–100, 50–75, 25–50, and 13–25 mm) are determined. Potential applications of the anthracite are identified, mainly in metallurgy.
