Summary: | One of the important performance areas to be measured is workforce effectiveness. It is measured based on the quality of work done by the employees who have an impact on the overall productivity of the organization.The recent trend is using HR metrics and analytics to assess workforce performance. Several metrics help to measure the effectiveness of the workforce in an organization. This research provides a handy set of metrics to calculate and assess the workforce effectiveness in an organization in this competitive world. It also creates awareness on the usage of Workforce effectiveness metrics to the HR managers for effective and informed decision making.The aim of the case study was to define the necessary performance measures for assessing the respondents' (Women Sales Associates) effectiveness in the retail garment store. The following approaches were used to perform this case study. The Behavioral Event Interviews were conducted with the superior job performer identified and the identified indicators were coded using “thematic analysis” methods.To keep a track of the effective performance of the Sales Associates, the owners need to have a regular practice of calculating the aforesaid list of metrics at the individual level and organizational level. It also leads to reduce gender bias in performance appraisal and benefits the highly performing women sales associates. |
