description | Objectives: To study the basic concepts and techniques of blockchain technology and how blockchain can be used to improve the performance of present supply chain and logistics industry. To develop a working prototype of blockchain using python language for movement of goods Methodology: Blockchain is an immutable, sequential chain of records which are termed as blocks. The blocks can contain any kind of data like transactions, files etc. The blocks are chained together using the Hashes. So, the code developed in this program supports all the properties of the python that are immutability, transparency, and decentralization. A working supply chain prototype is developed using Python Programming. The interaction with the Blockchain is done using HTTP client Postman which will make requests to the created Blockchain Conclusion: All the current models which are followed involves the central entity which governs how the business is conducted, how the data is stored, how the information is transferred, how the transactions are carried and various other aspects of the business but with the introduction of blockchain this whole system can be changed as blockchain involves decentralized system in which there is no central entity, it makes for a more secure system in which the information is distributed among various entities. A small prototype which has been developed in python using various libraries demonstrate how the blockchain can be implemented in supply chain, how it can be made more secure and more transparent, how hashing is done, how the blockchain gets tempered could be known.. |
