Effect of Multiple Scattering on the Accuracy of Determining Concentrations of Hydrogen Isotopes via Elastic Peak Electron Spectroscopy

A small-angle theory is developed for the elastic reflection of electrons off multicomponent materials. A way of interpreting signals of elastic peak electron spectroscopy (EPES) is devised that considers the multiple scattering effect. It is shown that a straight line approximation describes the EP...

Description
Summary:A small-angle theory is developed for the elastic reflection of electrons off multicomponent materials. A way of interpreting signals of elastic peak electron spectroscopy (EPES) is devised that considers the multiple scattering effect. It is shown that a straight line approximation describes the EPES signal with acceptable accuracy.
