Summary:Recent explorations in Megamalai Tiger reserve and Wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu has resulted in the documentation of new bloodstain lichen, Haematomma collatum Haematommone with UV negative taxonomic species. It has been collected for the first time and hence it forms a new record for India. A detailed description of Haematommaceae, Taxonomical keys and Photographs are provided for rapid identification.
