Summary: | In the first part of the article, the process of the production of porous aluminium, with a special CaCO3 forming agent, in a model quartz reactor in a protective argon environment by means of induction heating of samples is considered. The metallographic study of the surface structure and the fracture of the samples before and after the sintering process is studied. At the obtained maximum decomposition temperature of the foaming agent, the optimal temperature mode of sintering and holding the samples in a quartz reactor was selected by the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). In the second part of the article, various forces of the precursor pressing pressure and the choice of the optimal value are investigated. Various applications of aluminium foam and the economic aspect in the choice of CaCO3 foaming agent for aluminium matrix are described. |
