Summary: | The article contains the study results of the effect of the phytobiotic feed supplement “Activo”, which includes essential oils of oregano, thyme, rosemary, and chili pepper extract, on the development of broiler chickens’ immune organs: thymus, bursa fabricii and spleen. The experimental part was carried out based at the henhouse of the educational and experimental farm of Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution “Ural State Agrarian University”. To conduct this scientific and economic experiment, two groups of broiler chickens of the Ross-308 cross were formed by the analog’s method. Each group consisted of 44 heads. The control group received a basic diet that was balanced in all nutrients as recommended for the cross. The diet of the experimental group, starting from the 5th day of life, in the amount of 0.15 g per 1 kg of feed concentrate included the studied supplement feed. The bird was raised on the floor until the 37th day. The study result was the conclusion about beneficial effect of the phytobiotic supplement on the immune system development in the experimental group. At the end of cultivation, the mass of bursa fabricii in chickens of the control group was inferior to the experimental values by 3%, the mass of the thymus by 4.1%, and the mass of the spleen by 23.1%. The analysis of the processes recorded on the preparations of histological sections of the spleen, thymus and bursa fabricii from 37-day old broiler chickens from the control and experimental groups showed the well-being of the experimental livestock in infectious and parasitic diseases, high rates of cellular and humoral immunity. |
