Summary: | Current leads are designed to connect the current-carrying elements of HTSC power electric cable located in the low-temperature zone with the current-carrying elements of the industrial cable network. The current leads must ensure the minimum heat gain from the environment to the low-temperature zone and the required current load in the power cable with a minimum heat gain. The total value of heat inflows through the current leads significantly affects the refrigerating capacity of the cryorefrigerator in the cryostatting circuit. Designs of current leads for nitrogen and hybrid hydrogen mains are presented. The results of calculating three-dimensional fields of temperature and heat fluxes in current leads using the Flowvision package as applied to superconducting energy transfer lines with high-temperature superconductors are considered. |
