Summary:This research aims to find the barriers that affect the implementation of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) and rank them using hybrid multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods in the healthcare industry. As companies seek to earn revenue by providing goods or services to customers, they must also consider social responsibility, economics, and the environment as other multiple external factors. One of the most crucial factors is the company’s stewardship of the environment, but economic factors must be regarded when keeping the environment clean by balancing the economic situation to make a profit. This study extracts the barriers to implementing SSCM from previous studies, adapts these barriers to the healthcare industry, and ranks them using a hybrid best-worst method (BWM) and combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) method. The result indicates that hospital 7 should rank SSCM higher than the other six healthcare centers evaluated. Moreover, among the barriers, high disposal costs is the most crucial factor when considering implementing SSCM.
