Summary: | The determination of the hydraulic work effect on the groundwater resource in the Nadhour-Sisseb-El Alem region is demonstrated using hydrochemical data. In fact, it is determined using the chloride mass balance (CMB) method and the Gibbs diagram. Quantitative degradation is evidenced by calculating the recharge rate using CMB method. The recharge rate decreases from 14 mm/year in the 1980s to 7 mm/year in 2014. The study shows the presence of a relationship between recharge decrease and the development of hydraulic works. The construction of retention structures decreases the natural recharge rate, precisely the lineal recharge. The implementation of data on the Gibbs diagram highlighted a groundwater qualitative degradation. The groundwater progresses from a rock-dominant state to evaporation-dominant state. |
