Summary: | Chitosan functionalized by triacid imide has been applied as an effective catalyst for the preparation of chromen-pyrimidines by three-component reactions of aromatic aldehydes, 4-hydroxy coumarine, and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil at room temperature. Chitosan functionalized by triacid imide were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetery (DSC). This method provides several benefits including easy work-up, high yields, the low catalyst loading, and the reusability of the catalyst. |
