Summary:Some educators have met the challenge of using the ICT in teacher training because of the benefits they might bring about to the teaching-learning process. However, a diagnosis applied to the Foreign Languages major revealed an insufficient use of ICT. The present article aims at evaluating the feasibility of using mobile technology and Facebook in the didactic process of History of the culture of the English speaking peoples III. The results derived from a case study which delved into the development of trainees′ collaborative skills, communicative competence, professional abilities and content appropriation allow stating that the application of mobile technology is a useful supporter in teacher education in the area of foreign languages.
