Summary: | The results of testing nonstationary VVER-1200 operating regimes in the No. 1 unit of the Belarusian NPP, including investigations of xenon transients, checking of xenon oscillation control, and load-following by the reactor, are presented. The tests confirmed the design characteristics of xenon transients in the VVER-1200 core, the efficacy and safety of standard algorithms for controlling the power and distribution of reactor power output under conditions of nonstationary operating regimes associated with power changes and xenon transients, including during the daily load-following by the power unit. |
