Summary:This systematic literature review article focused on the factors affecting the agricultural technology adoption decision among farmers of developing countries in Asia. This topic is widely discussed among scholars. However, most of the past studies were not focusing on the social science perspectives of Asian farmers. Hence, this review takes into consideration of several past studies on the topic of agricultural technology adoption within the Asian farmers. This review is guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyses review protocol, which utilized one of the main journal databases of the Scopus and one supporting database of Dimension.ai. The selected articles review resulted in seven main themes as the main factors, which are socio-economic, agro-ecological, institution, informational, farmer’s perceptions, behavioral, and technological based on the thematic analyses. From the seven main factors, it produced a total of 39 sub-themes. This review offered some significant contributions for government agencies related to agriculture, technology provider agency, and the body of knowledge toward understanding the effective factors of Asian farmer’s technology adoption decisions.
