Polydopamine Nanospheres-grafted-PDMAEMA Brushes/Au Composites as a Thermally Adjustable Catalyst for the Reduction of 4-Nitrophenol
In this work, a thermally adjustable catalyst was fabricated by immersing polydopamine (PDA) nanosphere grafted poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PDMAEMA) brushes in HAuCl4 solution. Au NPs could in-situ form without extra reducing agents due to the reducibility of PDA. The thermally respon...

Summary: | In this work, a thermally adjustable catalyst was fabricated by immersing polydopamine (PDA) nanosphere grafted poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PDMAEMA) brushes in HAuCl4 solution. Au NPs could in-situ form without extra reducing agents due to the reducibility of PDA. The thermally responsive PDMAEMA brushes could control the reduction reaction rate of 4-nitrophenol by carrying out a phase transition to shield or expose Au NPs at different temperatures. |
