Description
Summary:Sensory integration disorders, including sensory hyposensitivity, may hinder the child’s education process. So far, there have been no scientific publications describing strategies of teaching a child with a rare disease and sensory hyposensitivity. This study presents the results of interviews with one hundred teachers. The main research question was as follows: which teaching strategies does the teacher apply for a child with sensory hyposensitivity? The teachers were asked about strategies in cases of tactile, auditory, visual, taste, and olfactory hyposensitivity. The study shows that respondents primarily apply behavioral strategies.
