Summary: | The use of language in everyday life is very important. Information that is conveyed through various media, both electronically and non-electronically cannot be separated from the use of language. Easy access to electronic information is also considered to affect language. Manipulation of electronic information in linguistics is often referred to as a hoax. So, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the indicators and categories in hate speech and hoax itself and how the position of Article 28 paragraph (2) of the ITE Law dictates the issue of manipulation in information systems and technology that leads to hoaxes and hate speech. The method used is a normative juridical analysis which results that there are differences in indicators between hate speech, hoaxes. Grammatically both are inflammatory, but both have different effects on the victim. In fact, both can be justified as part of the freedom of expression. This interpretation certainly raises the act of manipulating words and sentences that can attack the peace and tranquility of one's life. |
