Description
Summary:The aim of the present study was to evaluate the short-term effect of dietary chitosan nanoparticles (CNP) on immune response and disease resistance against Aeromonas hydrophila infection in tropical herbivore fish (rohu, Labeo rohita ). In the study, fish were fed with a diet containing different concentrations of CNP (0.0, 0.25, 0.50, 1, and 2 g/kg diet) for 20 days. After feeding trials, experimental fish were subjected to immunological and antioxidant parameters analysis; it is found that respiratory burst, lysozyme, myeloperoxidase, and catalase activity were highest in the T3 group (1 g/kg diet) and CNP-fed groups were significantly different ( P
