Summary: | The felicitous medical and health care domain inherits the Internet of Things for the popularity of autonomous sensor operations with minimum expense. In the health care ecosystem, the Internet of Things develops the trust model wireless body area network to oversee the medical attributes such as temperature, oxygen level, heartbeat, and blood pressure. The WBAN is a standard communication, low-power optimized device deployed with the biosensor nodes. It needs long-run battery power for the conventional functioning of handling the medical care data. The major hindrance of WBAN is energy consumption in deploying the biosensor nodes, which leads to quitting the network early. Various discussions on efficient energy routing protocols are discussed to minimize energy consumption, thereby maximizing the network lifetime to address this limitation. The study of different energy-efficient routing protocols suitable for WBAN supports the researchers in stimulating the balance of the low energy consumption and enhancing the network’s efficiency. |
