Comment on “Excitation and ionization processes of chlorine in molybdenum dichloride dioxide flakes using the glow discharge mass spectrometry technique” by S. Mushtaq, J. Anal. At. Spectrom. , 2022, 37 , 584

The charge transfer reaction between neutral molybdenum atoms and argon ions in an argon glow discharge with a molybdenum cathode was identified in the Mo II emission spectrum as a significant ionization mechanism of molybdenum in this type of discharge. The ACT-excited Mo II levels decay by 21 line...

Description
Summary:The charge transfer reaction between neutral molybdenum atoms and argon ions in an argon glow discharge with a molybdenum cathode was identified in the Mo II emission spectrum as a significant ionization mechanism of molybdenum in this type of discharge. The ACT-excited Mo II levels decay by 21 lines in the range of 171–176 nm.
