Summary: | To study the effect of a rotary tiller on the vibration characteristics exhibited by tractor seats at transport and working states, a vibration model with 3 degrees of freedom was built for the semi-active seat of a tractor without suspension carrying a rotary tiller in the vertical plane. The simulation model was established by MATLAB/Simulink software. The stiffness of the air spring and the damping of the magnet rheological fluid damper were determined when the total weighted seat acceleration was minimized through the simulation. In addition, the test study was conducted. Moreover, the simulated inherent frequencies of the seat vibration were compared with the test results. The results showed that the model established in this paper was reasonable, and the wheel displacement excitation was the main factor causing the vehicle and seat vibration. By changing the seat suspension parameters, the weighted root mean square (RMS) value was reduced by nearly 50%, and the driver’s driving experience was effectively improved. |
