Summary:In this paper, we introduce the concepts of rarely fuzzy e-continuous functions in the sense of Sostak's is introduced. Some interesting properties and characterizations of rarely fuzzy e-continuous and weakly fuzzy e-continuous are investigated. Also, fuzzy e[T.sub.1/2]-space, rarely fuzzy e[T.sub.2]-spaces and some applications to fuzzy compact spaces are established.
