Summary: | This article aimed to present and analyze the classifications and analytical criteria about Physical Education pedagogical approaches. In methodological terms, this proposal is configured in the context of theoretical studies with a qualitative approach. The research procedure adopted was bibliographic, with the sources being collected in an exploratory manner. Within this investigative framework, works were identified that proposed to present original classifications, others that sought to reproduce models already existing in the literature, and a third category that described the central characteristics of each approach without proposing classifications. Among the original proposals, it was noticed that Castellani Filho's (1999) model, which defines the approaches as 'systematized' (with the derivation between propositional and non-propositional) and 'non-systematized', was the most prominent in the scientific field. In this context, it is concluded that the method that assigns classifications to the approaches is valid, but a further deepening of the original contents of the researched works is needed. |
