Summary: | A method is proposed for determining the cutting forces during shape milling with disk cutters of the screw part of compressor rotor. The calculation scheme for determining the cutting force acting on the cutter tooth is considered. Basic assumptions are made to simplify the calculations. The components of the cutting force are determined at different depths for individual sections of cutter tooth. For single and multi-flute milling, the projections of cutting force on the coordinate axes are determined. It has been found that with increase of number of cutter teeth, the unevenness of milling can be reduced up to 80 percent. |
