Description
Summary:The results of a universal method of instrumental neutron-activation analysis] for monitoring the surrounding environment and assessing the environmental situation taking into account the population morbidity in Tashkent and Tashkent region are reported. It is shown that the elemental content in soil, drinking water, and hair is irregular. This could be associated with environmental contamination by enterprises or with the population working conditions. Correlation analysis established a relation between the elemental content in the studied objects in the environment and certain diseases. It is noted that a heightened or diminished elemental content in hair is most likely an indication of a particular disease, especially in environmentally bad areas of the region and city.
