Summary:Any health issue associated with a digestive system can be considered to be a digestive disorder. The symptoms of digestive disorders may vary from person to person. Common symptoms listed in digestive disorder cases include abdominal discomfort, vomiting, nausea, acid reflux, fatigue, diarrhea, fatigue, constipation, fecal incontinence, loss of appetite etc. Medical field follows various methods in diagnosing and analyzing digestive disorders. These methods includeboth invasive and non-invasive techniques. Among these Electrogastrogram is considered as a non-invasive and cost- effective method to plot the record of the electrical signals associated with the smooth muscles in the digestive system. This paper is mainly a review on electrogastrogram recording and its analyzing methods to identify its contributions for clinical purpose.
